Hey everyone! I want to welcome you to the new Always Christian Kane! As you can see I’ve switched us from the old fashion php layout to wordpress. I want to thank Miss Nicki over at Sunset Productions for making the wp theme we’re using. I think she did a wonderful job! I hope you think so, too.

I have done alot of work trying to get the main site as up to date as possible. The Filmography and Discography pages are now fully functional. Please take a look at them and browse around. Let me know what you think of them. There are areas I want to do more work to, but for now I hope what’s been done is adequent.

I would love to get some ideas of what you guys would like to see added to the site. I am open to suggestions. In the works already is an area on the interactive boards where people can come to have fun playing games, get exclusive content like badges and titles and much more. So put your thinking caps on and contact me with your suggestions.

If you look at the sidebar you will notice that I have added “ACK Twitter Updates”. Here you will be able to see updates posted to twitter. Usually I will post things like the updates to the MM gallery right after I have finished the upload into the albums on twitter. This way you can keep up with the new media that’s been added before I make a summary post here.

a One-Two Punch of Talent

Christian Kane has a favorite quote from Steve McQueen: “When I believe in something, I fight like hell for it.” But the multi-faceted entertainer is also a testimony to Warren Zevon’s adage: “I’ll sleep when I’m dead.”

Kane celebrates his third season as Eliot Spencer on the hit TNT series, “Leverage”. Eliot is the kind of man who squires a lady down a country lane with one hand placed gently on the small of her back while he haymakers her deadbeat ex-boyfriend with the other. The gracious, Southern charm is all Kane, whereas Eliot can kill you with an eyelash. Only if you deserve it, of course.

People familiar with the series “Angel” might think Kane has kicked back a bit since that series ended in 2004, but the actor’s loyal fans, affectionately known as “Kaniacs”, have followed his non-stop trajectory, including his work on the series “Close to Home” and in the movies Hide and Not Since You. Two more movies, Good Day For It and Minuteman, are currently in post-production.

Kane also has a strong dedication to music, paying his dues for many years by performing all over the U.S. and Europe, and recording and collaborating with many Nashville hitmakers. Once production wraps on “Leverage” this summer, he embarks on a massive radio tour to promote his new single, “The House Rules”, a fun-lovin’, boot-stompin’ dust-up. His major label CD debut is due in October 2010, and showcases his passionate voice and a gift for sharing the simple, meaningful, tales of life.

Christian Kane is now scheduled to be a headlining Guest at Whedon Fest 2010 which takes place October 1-3 at the Sheraton Hotel and Conference Centre in Toronto, Canada.

Whedon Fest is a 3 day unofficial convention to celebrate all that is Whedon. The convention will feature guests and events from Buffy, Angel, Firefly, Dr. Horrible and Dollhouse. The unofficial convention will comprise of guest talks, autograph and photograph sessions, charity auction, a Saturday night masquerade and dance, contests, and more.

TNT announced in a press release that it has renewed The Closer, Rizzoli & Isles, and Leverage for additional seasons. Rizzoli — the No. 1 show on cable this year to date — will return for a second season, while Leverage will boast a fourth season and Closer a seventh. New seasons for all three shows will begin in 2011. “TNT has enjoyed tremendous success on Sunday and Monday nights with Leverage, The Closer, and Rizzoli & Isles,� TNT, TBS, and Turner Classic Movies executive vice president and head of programming Michael Wright said in the release. “All three shows feature terrific casts, sharp writing, and top-notch production teams. We look forward to continued success with new seasons in 2011.�
